I applied for Associate Software engineer at New York location and had interview offer. They created the link for me to book my flight and i did. Just now, I logged in to my Lockheed Martin profile and my application status for an Associate Software engineer at Owego, New York location has been changed to "No longer under consideration" from "Interview". What does that mean? Is this Technical error? I have a week left for an interview. I don't get it.

In early December 2017 I was told, after months of processing, I would be brought on board Lockheed Martin F-35 assembly line "in 2018."
It is now the first of February.
Can anyone give me an idea of how long this has been taking, after being told you're coming on board?
Should I expect several more weeks? Months? Thanks!

Lockheed Martin Forum - Got an engineering offer from Lockheed but salary way under expectation? Should I still sign after giving counteroffer?: So here is the case. I got an offer from...
So here is the case. I got an offer from lockheed in another state and they only offered me $56k for the engineering position, this is an entry to mid level position. This amount is more than I make now but where I live I share a lot of expenses with family like rent, insurance costs, food, etc and I would be taking a bit of a loss going to the other state. However, my current job is in a small company and my future there is unknown.
Now here's the issue. I got the offer letter tuesday and they said I have 5 business days to accept it but it says its expiring sunday online (should be tuesday if 5 business days since they have fridays off). I sent a counteroffer last tuesday and the recruiter told me the hiring manager hasn't gotten back to her yet. I mentioned my issue with moving and that even after relocation It would be tough with that salary because I wouldn't be making the same net income.
Should I just sign the offer letter so it doesn't expire and then wait and see if they can send me a revised one of the hiring manager accepts my counter? I only asked for $62k. This is such a weird situation and I really don't want to lose the position offer.

Lockheed Martin Forum - General Info (from LM employee): Question: I applied for an entry level...
Question:
I applied for an entry level position and got an email a couple months later to schedule a phone interview. I was given various time slots with dates and times to choose from so i followed up with an email to the recruiting coordinator giving her my time available. I never got a response back but assumed the time was confirmed. About a month later was when the interview was scheduled to take place and to shorten the story, I never got a call or anything. I then emailed her again and I was given an automatic reply saying she was out of the office until January 2 however the date was february 2nd, and I was told to contact another hr rep for immediate assistance. So I emailed the rep saying that I was scheduled for a phone interview and after discussing the situation with her she told me that the other hr rep probably didn't get confirmation from the hiring manager, which confused me very much because I thought that was the point of time slots and availability, and I thought I would've heard that from her regarding the times she offered. In conclusion, she said she would talk to her and will plan to reschedule the interview for next week but I was wondering what goes into this process or has this happened to anyone else before?

Good day. I applied for a position with LM in Arkansas. The website says it should take 2-5 weeks just to get passed the "applied" step. It has been over 5 weeks now and no information. The online chat is difficult due to my current work hours. Does anyone have any suggestions on the next best way to contact them?

Hello,
I got offered an internship for the summer. I accepted it and am very excited, however when I was looking back at the the application and filling out the background check info, I realized that the dates on my resume were 1 year off :(
I'm freaking out. The forms I filled out where accurate except for the resume and the initial job application (since I filled it out by looking at the resume). I had 2 previous work history things, both where pushed back a year. I'm not sure what to do? In a panic, I fixed the resume and deleted all other resumes on the web portal and uploaded the correct one.
Should I contact someone? If so, who? I don't want to bother the hiring manager, and I havn't had any direct contact with HR yet, it's all been emails from the web portal.
It was an honest mistake, which I am worried will come off as dubious and cost me a summer internship.

In my opinion, LM has a 'holier than thou' kinda attitude about potential employees. Do you really want to work for a company that treats people like that? There are similar employers to apply with who will give you the respect you deserve.

Lockheed Martin Forum - Lockheed Martin After Interview?: [QUOTE who="Dispicable41 in Annapolis, M...
I have over 20 years experience with LM. It can be a good company but sometimes you wind up working for pretty bad managers. They pay very well, at the top of the class and you can go far if you can find the right champions. You just have to be able to live with their diversity programs, continuous compliance training and doing very motivating things like canceling Christmas parties at the last minute. It also depends on what Business area you work with. Would avoid IS&GS. Little inspiration. Get into groups servicing their DoD customers - Good working environment but do expect to work hard and put in OT.
As for resume tips;
- Make it easy to read - Your core skills should jump right out.
- Put in Task - What you did - and Results format.
- Find someone who works there - increases your potential
- Intern or work study - you can get a offer in your junior year to come back as an employee
- Remove non-relevant work experience - Dont really care if you worked at Wall mart -
- If you go to an interview - Prepare your answers - The interview will not likely be technical - You wont get to interview unless you are qualified - Interviews are looking for motivated, self starters, team players. Questions are focused on that - Answer with experiences from school on projects, dont make it about you - Focus on how you helped the team yada yada yada- Make them results focused. How did your contributions relate to the end results....
