Hello,
I am currently in Dallas and just received an offer to relocate with LM in Orlando FL.
Per my offer letter I received a 2K Relocation Allowance and a Base Salary of $64,800
I am considering negotiation this offer. One thing that sticks out is that I will not be eligible for any type of Merit increase until 2020 since I will not be on board until January 2019.
Anyone have information or advice on negotiation salary?

How does a mortgage company verify the following:
Start Date:
Position:
Annual Salary:
Any/all employment contingencies met: (yes or no)
LM keeps telling us to use the work number but our mortgage client is closing prior to the their start date. Thank you for your help!
Yikes. So much misinformation on here.
First, some background info on me- I've been at LM a little over 10 years. Started right out of college with a BA. Currently a hiring manager.
Regarding Finding a Job:
1 - you MUST submit your resume online.
2- we DO query the database (well, HR does and provides us a prescreened set of candidates)
3- applying to a bunch of jobs (someone here mentioned 50!) does you no good whatsoever. Pick a few your interested in.
4- if you keep applying with no response, your resumeprobably needs work, eh? LM hires something like 10k people a year - people ARE getting hired!
5- ymmv, but if we want to hire someone, they typically know w/in a week. Sometimes same day.
Regarding Salary:
1- don't ask what a level x makes. Noone can tell you - it varies too much based on job code (aero vs structures vs contracts vs business etc all have different ranges) and location
2- you do not get smaller raises the more you make
3- performance is a (big) differentiator in raises
3a - those only getting 1-2% aren't the high performers (or aren't perceived as such by their boss). The LOWEST raise I ever got was this year - a little over 3%, which isn't bad given the economy.
4- benefits are good. Not great, but good.
5- money from the pool does NOT get diverted into a LDP pool to keep them happy.
Lockheed Martin Forum - Hiring Process - New Grad, anyone please help?!: I have been job searching since Septembe...
I have been job searching since September. I’m a new grad trying to get a job in DoD contracting and have always dreamt of working at Lockheed. I’ve been sending out applications after applications for Associate level business, contracting, and planning positions. I received a total of 7 disability accommodation forms and at the same time the positions I received them for moved from “Applied” to “Resume Under Review”. I’ve seen mixed responses when a disability accommodation form is received as some say it means nothing and others say it means you’re more likely to get an interview request. I had one position back in November go to Resume Under Review, but then three weeks later I received the auto no longer under consideration email. I never received any disability form for that position. So I wasn’t sure if anyone knew anything.
If anyone doesn’t mind helping me out through an internal referral or insight on the internal job board that would be much appreciated! I hate how impersonal this entire process is.

Recruiter Bob - I have been working extremely hard on getting hired by Lockheed Martin. I have attended one of their hiring conventions earlier this year and was able to have an interview, be selected for a position but sadly no offer was given to me. I have recently graduated (December 2018) with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I have applied to 30+ job applications and I am under review for 7 positions as of now. Is there anything extra that I can do? I appreciate all the help I can get.

I've received and accepted an offer. It said the application Relocation Possible. Does that mean its optional? Do you move and they reimburse after you report to work?
How has your experiences been with Lockheed?
By the way I'm retired military and accepted a position in Arizona.

Lockheed Martin Forum - Lockheed Martin Applicant Question:
Congra...
Congratulations on the job offer.
However, it is a little out of the norm for LMCO HR to take six weeks to send out an offer, but there could be a multitude of reasons as to why it took them so long. Believe it or not, hiring decisions at many LMCO sites are usually made at a meeting which is held the very same afternoon following the interview sessions. I actually know one person that told me he got an offer the very same day as his interview, but I believe that's a little out of the norm as well.
Once again, congratulations and best of luck to you!
I realize this response is super old, so if you are still available to answer questions could you please reply to my comment. I just completed the background check and drug screen for a non cleared position and I have some questions about the LHM approval of the background check

Lockheed Martin Forum - Hiring Process: I applied to a position at Lockheed back...
I applied to a position at Lockheed back in January and had someone reach out to me for more information towards the end of January. It's been almost 8 weeks now (I think) and I haven't heard anything back and my resume is still under review online. I've tried contacting someone at LM but no one has been able to tell me anything. Do you think there is a chance I am still under consideration? When on earth will I hear back? (yes, I'm going a little crazy haha)
I would for sure prefer working at Lockheed, but I have other interviews scheduled and others having taken place already that seem like will result in offers. Do you think it's worth holding out to see what happens with Lockheed?

It has been my experience TO TELL ALL. Own your past! I have a "colorful" past, but I list everything to the best of my recollection. After a 40 year career, dates get hazy. But I do my best, I own it, and tell everything. Honesty is key! You KNOW if you don't list something derrogitory and they find it - END OFJOB!

If I give a 2 weeks notice at Lockheed after working for 2 months, what would be the reaction? Would they ask me to leave the same day or let me be there for 2 weeks? I haven't been doing much since I started.

Lockheed Martin Forum - Should I be worried?: [QUOTE who="JSmith_anon in Houston, Texa...
I've recently had some success at a LM job fair, where I was told they would reach out soon to give me an offer for a job. Less than a week later I received the offer along with all the paper work and info necessary to begin the hiring process. I completed said paper work same day, sent in my info to begin the background check the same day they requested it too, and completed my drug test a couple days after that. A couple weeks go by and I haven't heard anything, so I call Sterling to ask the status of my background check. They had completed it two days after I sent my info. Since then I've gotten the drug and background check back and (unsurprisingly to myself) I'm fine.
Tomorrow it will have been a month since my background check was sent back to LM. I've tried getting in contact with the person that sent me the offer a couple of times with no success. The documents they sent me originally are no longer in my candidate portal.
I know the only step left is to discuss a start date; however, I'm becoming increasingly worried that the offer may have been rescinded without being informed. I was wondering if someone could tell me what the usual timeline for getting a start date is? Or if my worries have some validity to it?
I'm sorry for the length of this comment and if I'm coming off impatient. It's just the silence from LM has been really troubling, and I'm worried I've been packing my belongings in vain.
So, I’m going through this whole process myself and curious what the final result was?

Lockheed Martin Forum - Salary / Benefits / H&W Rate?:
...
Was hoping to get an answer to your question.
The company I work for will lose its contract and all employees will be transferred over to the incoming Company. We were told that the H&W will no longer be paid directly to us, instead the new CO. will put it towards our 401k(I have never enrolled I always opted out). That will cut my take home pay by atleast $300 per paycheck. I understand it is still "mines" but I wont see it until I retire. We all live paycheck to paycheck and am worried that a $600 cut per month will cause financial stress for most.
I see no one had replied to your question but were you able to find any answers yourself?
Thanks!
Did you ever get ur situation straight. Going thru it now and need answers

Boom! sounds exactly like me! I heard about a software program that scans digital resumes and pulls out the "exact" matches and goes down to a certain percent, such as 90% match. you must change your resume for each job you apply for and basically copy past their requirements as your experience. That may help with at least getting more interviews.

I work for subcontractor for usps. In Los Angeles, minimum wage increased to $13.25/hr for companies with 26 or less employees. My employer pays me $12.08 for regular hours plus $4.27 H & W hours. Do the H & W hours count for my minimum wage? Does it mean I’m actually receiving $16.35/hr?
