What do you think -- is this company going to survive and thrive? Are they looking to expand their staff, or do you think layoffs are inevitable?
How does Lockheed Martin stack up against the competition?
Last year, Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works won a lot of projects coming up and they are even hosting a Career Networking event on March 4, 2014 in El Segundo, CA. There are two times, 11-2pm PST with keynote presenter at 11:30am, and 4-8pm PST with keynote presenter at 6pm.
It's a career networking event tailored for software professionals and subcontract negotiators who are able to obtain high levels of clearances.
For more information, there is a hyperlink to sign up to be contacted by a recruiter. Let me know how to reach you and I can send it directly! (reply with your email address)

Lockheed Martin Forum - New OLDP, concerned about Salary: Hey everyone, I have an offer to be a...
Hey everyone,
I have an offer to be an OLDP with LM starting this summer, but I am concerned with the starting salary. I have friends who are in different leadership development programs at other companies making 10-20k more per year, and I was not sure if I am underpaid. I have a couple questions:
1. Does anyone know the range/average salary of OLDPs? (I have looked on glassdoor, but my starting amount is much lower than their stated average, so I was not sure how accurate that was)
2. Does the salary differ between locations? There was no location based pay bump so I was not sure if it existed or not.
3. Do OLDPs usually get larger raises than normal? (I have heard that on this site before)
I am super excited to work for LM, especially as an OLDP, but I am concerned that I will not be compensated as much as I could/should be.
Thanks!

Lockheed Martin Forum - LM IS&GS Recruiter Help: Does anyone know a recruiter for LM IS&G...
Does anyone know a recruiter for LM IS&GS? I am currently with LM MST but found, and applied to, another position in LM IS&GS of the same experience level. I know transferring isn't typical within the first year of employment at a given position, but my recent application is in an area that certainly fits my background and (intended) career path a little more. I was wondering if there were anyway to forward my resume/candidate number to a recruiter to ensure that I am not ruled out by the initial computer screening?

Hello all,
I have a quick, I recently applied for a position with LM as of a week ago and I know that I have very early in the process. However I received an automated e-mail about the accommodation request for disabilities. Normally I would think anything of it but the wording made it sound like I was being considered for an interview an would like to know if I would need any special assistance. Any insight would help, thanks

Lockheed Martin Forum - question about the hiring process at lockheed........please help: [QUOTE who="Recruiter Bob in Chicago, Il...
Hal, the prescreening form is a common tool we use to help sort out candidates before the resumes are reviewed by the hiring manager. Completing one isn't necessarily a guarantee that you'll be contacted for an interview.
What position was this for? Do you have the REQ ID number?
When I got the prescreening form, they asked me the questions but said that the Hiring Manager already reviewed my resume. I then had to complete another online application, but no call for an interview after three weeks. Looks like I didn't make the cut. Oh well.

Lockheed Martin Forum - Interview process details: I heard about some internship opportunit...
I heard about some internship opportunities at Lockheed's Skunk Works division at the AIAA SciTech conference last January. With their reputation as a secretive organization, I didn't even know they hired interns. Anyway... I applied to their positions in January (and another this past week), and I've been checking often on the submission status. It's been marked as "OPEN" ever since I applied.
I've read on this forum, among other sources, that "open" means someone hasn't been hired yet. I've had to delay an internship offer from another company because I'm holding out on other offers like these Skunk Works internships. I decided to wait by the end of this month for anything from Lockheed. I'm aware that big companies like LM and Boeing can take a while to complete the summer intern hiring process, so how long should I expect to wait before anything happens with these LM internship positions? I checked the job listings just now, and there are still about 90 internship openings.
Finally, how many (and what type of) interviews would be required to get hired for a given position? I was with Gulfstream last year, and I just had a phone interview, and that was it.

I interviewed with Lockheed Martin a month ago. I have yet to hear back from the hiring manager or recruiter. I have accepted that I will not be getting the position I interviewed for but I am surprised that I have not been formally told so. I have called the recruiter several times with no answer and have also sent 2 emails. Not sure what to do now but I would like to know what is going on. Does anyone have any advice?

Lockheed Martin Forum - How to speak to a recruiter.: From working in a Large company with mul...
From working in a Large company with multiple recruiters I know it is very difficult and requires a good deal of luck to get picked out from the giant pool and actually screened for a job. I'm looking for a chance to speak with a recruiter about gaining employment with a company I can create a career with.
A little background about myself not shown in my resume. I worked for Freeman Company the largest trade show general contractor in the world. I handled their booths many times and had never considered leaving there until the day came where I had to choose to stop working for Freeman due to the demanding hours or finishing up school in a field I am very passionate about which is Industrial Organizational Psychology. I left Freeman with a 6 month notice and on very good terms being offered my job back whenever I wanted it.
All in all, I don't require someone to give me their reference although if we met up and you felt secure in giving one on my behalf I would be grateful. What I am really asking for is just a change to speak with a recruiter and show them my potential and explain all that I am currently available to give to the company as well as the future.

Does anyone know what this Test that I have to take is about. I am applying for a Calibration job with Lockheed Martin, I have phone interviewed and now have a test scheduled, I was told it is two tests and will take about 4 hours to finish. But no one could tell me what it is about. I am getting a little nervous since I have no idea what the tests are over. If anyone could help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
About 3 weeks ago I went to a Lockheed Martin hiring event for an internship. There they said they would let me know if I got accepted or not in about 1 to 2 weeks. About one week ago I did a phone interview for a security clearance. However, the actual recruiter has yet to contact me even though I have sent several emails asking what the current situation was, and she has not yet responded. What should I do now? Just wait? Any help on this matter would be appreciated.
Thanks.
